Camp

Day 1
Well the first day we had to come to be at school by 8.00am. After everyone was on the bus and we were packed and ready to go well then we were off. There were 3 different groups. Year 7's, year 8's and New Caledonia people. Well anyway the year 7 group went to PAINTBALL and the ROPES COURSE! It was about an hour and a half drive away from school. The drive was really really LONG! It was about 10.30am when we got to the ropes course. We parked in the bus right outside the paintball and then we had to walk 1 Kilometer to the ropes course from the bus. OMG it was so long and it was really slippery. Once we were there we had to listen to a man named John. There was also a man called Michael. He's from Texas! He had such a cool accent. Well anyway we were doing the ropes course and it was sOOOOOO High! Uhmm well i kinda conquered my fear of heights because it was 13 METRES HIGH! We were climbing for about an hour so yeah! After that hour we had lunch packed up all our gear and went for our 1 kilometer walk up hill. OUCH it hurt my legs but I was all good! After we got to the top of hill we sat down and waited for John to explain how to paly Paintball.

While I am... healthy and not suffering from diseases
The same four year old is... Suffering from illness and depression

While I am... having fun with friends
A fourteen year old in India is... lonely because the 14 year old has no friends

While I am... being loved by my family and getting cared for
A family in Kuparedi Candigai is... being sent as slaves and is working for a poor amount of money

While I am... learning and being wealthy
A little girl... is miserable and not so brainy because she hasn't been learning at all.

While I am... Getting new clothes and getting dressed up
A twelve year old boy.... Sleeps in the same rags day by day

While I am... at home and not being slaved around by a boss
A boss... is slaving around little kids. CRUELTY

While I am... excited about new things happening
A child... doesn't get anything like we do

While I am.... living at home and making sure that I have a loving family
Millions of children... Aren't as lucky as I am

They... need more attention
They... need more help
They... need us to help them

Their Future... depends on us. WE NEED TO REACT!!!

Persistence.

Persistence

Miley Cyrus has been persistent all her life.
She has tried to conquer her dreams and trying to achieve all her goals.
Like when she was at a very young age she was very persistent by auditioning for the part of Lily on HM.
She then didn't get the part but she got called back for the part of Hannah or Miley.
But she carried on until she succeeded!!!
And that's why I chose her as a person who persists.

Persisting

The first time I persisted something was the time when I said that I couldn't do my speech and I was like really nervous.
Once I looked at the whole class staring at me and listened to other peoples speeches, I kinda wasn't really ready for it.
Once I got up there and did my speech I was like really nervous.
But once it was over and done with I was really relieved.
Anyway that was a pretty successful thing though.
Well I had a successful outcome because I faced my fear of speaking in front of an audience.
